What You Need To Know About Abacus Energy Pills

Abacus Energy Pills are designed to increase energy and focus. They contain a high dose of caffeine per capsule, roughly the amount found in two cups of coffee. The other active ingredients are theanine and ginkgo biloba. The manufacturers do not accept returns at all, and do not issue refunds.

What Are The Side Effects Of Abacus Energy Pills?

The active ingredients in Abacus Energy Pills could potentially cause a range of side effects.

Ginkgo Biloba is generally thought to be safe, but may cause some minor issues; these include stomach upset, constipation, headache, dizziness, a pounding heartrate, and allergic skin reactions. It may also affect blood sugar levels, making in unsuitable for diabetics. It could also affect blood clotting, and so is not suitable for anyone with bleeding disorders.

Theanine causes a state of relaxation without drowsiness, and may help to counteract some of the potential side effects of caffeine, such as jitteriness, when dosed correctly. Consumers should still ensure that they do not consume caffeine within 5 hours of bedtime, as caffeine can interfere with sleep cycles. Side effects of caffeine can include headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness, and insomnia.

How Much Does Abacus Energy Pills Cost?

Abacus Energy Pills can be purchased from the official website, Abacuspills.com. A bottle containing 30 capsules costs $11.95 plus delivery charges. Customers can also buy a box of packets; 10 packets, containing 2 pills each costs $10.00. Delivery charges may also apply.

The supplement can also be purchased from Amazon. At least one review refers to the large fluctuations in prices on Amazon, but at the time of writing, a single bottle containing 30 capsules cost $15.20 plus delivery charges.

Our Verdict On Abacus Energy Pills

We are not impressed by Abacus Energy Pills at all. The product contains a theanine-caffeine blend, but the amount of theanine is very low and unlikely to offer much benefit. The dose of caffeine in this supplement, however, is very high at 200 mg per capsule, similar to the amount found in two cups of coffee. Taking this high dose all at once is more likely to cause side effects than taking it in smaller separate doses.

There are lots of positive reviews for this product, but there are indicators that some are fake or suspicious. There are numerous reports of side effects being caused by this supplement.

The manufacturers do not offer a money-back guarantee, and their returns policy simply states that absolutely no returns are accepted.

Overall, we do not recommend Abacus Energy Pills to our readers.

Does Abacus Energy Pills Work?

Abacus Energy combines theanine and caffeine; numerous clinical studies suggest that this combination does have mild cognitive benefits. In one study, participants performed better on “cognitively demanding tasks” including memory tasks and “attention switching” tasks (multi-tasking) when taking a caffeine-theanine blend than without, but the differences in scores were not made clear. Another study found that the ingestion of a combination of theanine and caffeine “facilitated behavioural performance” but again, the details regarding the amount of improvement in scoring are not available. However, studies suggest that the best ratio of theanine to caffeine is 2:1 (i.e. twice as much theanine as caffeine). Abacus Energy Pills contain a very small dose of theanine, and so its impact is unlikely to be strong. Caffeine also boosts alertness and energy levels, both physical and mental.

Ginkgo Biloba could have some cognitive benefits, but it appears to primarily be “a therapeutic option in people who already are experiencing cognitive decline”, and evidence that it could boost cognition is lacking.

Abacus Energy Pills should boost energy levels in the short term, but it is only a caffeine boost, and does not appear to be superior to other caffeine sources. The available evidence suggests that other cognitive benefits will be mild at best.

What Are The Ingredients of Abacus Energy Pills?

The ingredients found in Abacus Energy Pills are detailed below. Ingredient quantities provided are per serving of a single capsule.

  • Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin) 600 mcg (10,000% RDA)
  • Caffeine Anhydrous Powder 200 mg: Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive. Source
  • Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Powder 150 mg: Appears to improve circulation, and may help to kill bacteria in the body that could cause infections, although it is used as an herbal remedy to treat a range of ailments. Some studies suggest that it could offer cognitive benefits to the elderly, but it is not reliable or hugely effective. Source
  • L-Theanine 50 mg: This amino acid is found in green tea, and may increase feelings of relaxation. It may also reduce the negative side effects of caffeine, although there is seemingly no clinical evidence to support this claim. Source

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Abacus Energy Pills?

There are lots of customer reviews for Abacus Energy Pills on Amazon, but according to fakespot.com (a website that checks the authenticity of reviews), the majority of the reviews are suspicious.

Great product. I use it to replace coffee in the mornings and it has worked well. I’m awake without jitters.

My complaint though is the bottle. It’s a wedge shape and I had to cut it open to get out all the pills that were stuck inside the wedge. I don’t know why they didn’t just make a rectangular bottle.

I took one pill at 6:40AM and I had increased energy and focus until about 3:30PM. No crash and no jitters. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this product. It is cheaper than an energy drink and easier to take than an energy powder. No mixing or shaking required. Take one pill and you’re good to go! It did take about 10 minutes for the pill to kick in but that’s about how long I expected it to take. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product! At .60 cents a pill, I’m going to save a lot of money that I was spending on energy drinks!

made me sick. would leave a lower score but my stomach is weak so its not its fault i guess.

is good, works, and looks cool but design over function. pills get stuck in the narrow side of bottle which is annoying. bernie would have won.

The first and second time I took these, the was a noticable difference. But really nothing after that. I had high hopes at first, but it soon faded away with this product. Maybe it would work for you, but it didn’t work for me.

Just a super standard caffeine pill. Gives you a like a 30 minute burst of energy followed by hours of physical jitters and mental lethargy. Absolutely not worth the price. Save your money and go buy some Vivarin at your local drugstore.

Hyped up caffeine pill. I felt tweaked out and jittery, couldn’t sit still. If I had to work an ungodly amount of hours or stay up late for a test, these would work although I would feel horrible, but I’d be wide awake. The packaging looks way more interesting in the pictures than it does in real life.

This product gives me stomach pains and headaches. I tried taking it on several different occasions and it always created the same symptoms. It may work for you but it just wasn’t for me. I’m 5’3 female, 125lbs
