What You Need To Know About Awakened Alchemy Awaken

Awakened Alchemy Awaken was the first supplement launched by Awakened Alchemy, back in 2017. The supplement is a nootropic product designed to improve learning and memory, focus, and concentration, as well as to bring mental clarity to the consumer. The product is caffeine-free and suitable for vegans.

What Are The Side Effects Of Awakened Alchemy Awaken?

Some of the ingredients found in Awakened Alchemy Awaken could cause a variety of side effects.

Possible side effects that could develop whilst taking this supplement include various digestive issues including stomach aches and diarrhoea, nausea, and changes in blood pressure. Full details about the side effects that could be caused by this supplement are available below under the Side Effects tab.

Bioperine increases the bioavailability and absorption of numerous compounds and medications. Whilst this means that the supplement is probably more effective, it also increases the chances of side effects being caused by the other active ingredients. It also increases the absorption of many medications, increasing the chances of side effects occurring and even accidental overdose.

How Much Does Awakened Alchemy Awaken Cost?

Awakened Alchemy Awaken can be purchased from the official Awakened Alchemy website, where a single bottle costs $89.00. There are discounts for bulk purchases; two bottles costs $159.00, or an order of three bottles costs $227.00. The company offer free worldwide shipping.

Each bottle contains 90 capsules (45 servings). However, the guarantee states that customers should take 4 capsules per day (two servings per day), and so each bottle will only last for 22 days of use. This means that Awakened Alchemy Awaken is an incredibly expensive supplement to take.

Our Verdict On Awakened Alchemy Awaken

We are not hugely impressed by Awakened Alchemy Awaken. They have obviously put a lot of time and effort into branding the product (and the rest of the Awakened Alchemy range) as a luxury supplement. However, the product is far from perfect, and it is prohibitively expensive, with a single bottle costing $89! The product seems to be a good mood booster, and it could reduce fatigue. Some of the ingredients could improve cognition in theory.

The directions for use differ between the bottle and the satisfaction guarantee; the directions for use state two capsules a day, but the guarantee states that consumers should take four capsules a day. Taking four capsules a day means that a single bottle provides just a 22 day supply. The money-back guarantee offered states that it is “unconditional”, but also appears to place some restrictions on returns. However, it does last for 60 days from purchase, and covers one opened bottle.

All of the available customer reviews are positive, but they sound too good to be true, with the supplement being given the same amount of reverence a demi-god could expect.

Overall, we do not recommend Awakened Alchemy to our readers.

What Does Awakened Alchemy Awaken Claim To Do?

The supposed benefits of this supplement include accelerated learning, an improved memory (both long and short-term), enhanced focus, clarity, and concentration, and boosted energy levels. In addition to the above benefits, the supplement is also:

Does Awakened Alchemy Awaken Work?

Many of the ingredients found in Awaken appear to benefit mood and reduce stress, such as Theanine, PEA, and Ashwagandha. PQQ and Phosphatidylserine could offer some cognitive benefits to the elderly, but have not been studied well in the general population. Some of the ingredients such as choline and uridine, which could offer cognitive benefits, and tyrosine, which could help combat fatigue, appear to be under-dosed.

Whilst the supplement may be somewhat effective, the ingredients list does not justify the price tag of $89 a bottle.

What Are The Ingredients of Awakened Alchemy Awaken?

The ingredients found in Awakened Alchemy Awaken are detailed below. The ingredient quantities provided below are per serving of two capsules.

  • Phenylethylamine 400 mg: More commonly known as PEA, this ingredient is derived from the amino acid phenylalanine. It is thought to increase alertness, aid in concentration and focus, and may also enhance mood. Source
  • CDP Choline (citicoline) 250 mg: CDP Choline appears to improve attention, and could improve memory. However the dose used in the memory study was much higher than the dosage used here, and the relevant study focused upon the elderly. Source
  • KSM-66 Ashwagandha extract 200 mg: This Indian herb has a deserved reputation for combating anxiety, and is known to relieve stress and improve mood in a general sense. It is thought to lower cortisol levels in the brain and body. Cortisol is a hormone produced during moments of stress, and having high cortisol levels in the long term can have numerous negative health effects. Source
  • L-theanine 150 mg: This amino acid is found in green tea, and may increase feelings of relaxation. It may also reduce the negative side effects of caffeine, although there is seemingly no clinical evidence to support this claim. Source
  • N-acetyl l-tyrosine 150 mg: An amino acid that is a building block of protein, Tyrosine is found naturally in many foods including meat and dairy products. Large doses of tyrosine may be useful for increasing alertness, especially in people who are sleep deprived. Source
  • Uridine 5′-monophosphate 150 mg: This nucleotide base appears to have the potential to improve cognitive function and reduce the symptoms of depression. Recommended dosages fall between 500mg and 1000mg, much more than is found here. Source
  • Phosphatidylserine 125 mg: Several studies with phosphatidylserine indicate improved cognitive abilities and behaviours, but the studies focused on Alzheimer’s patients. The FDA has stated that Phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of cognitive dysfunction and dementia in the elderly. Source
  • PQQ (pyrroloquinoline quinone) 10 mg: Some preliminary human trials suggest that PQQ has a neuroprotective role for elderly people. However, no studies have been conducted with younger subjects. It may also help people to sleep better and feel less fatigued. Source
  • Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12) 500 mcg
  • Bioperine® 5 mg: This patented Black pepper extract is used for increasing the bioavailability of nutritional compounds. It may also increase the absorption of various drugs, which may lead to potential side effects. Source

Does Awakened Alchemy Awaken Have Any Side Effects?

Awakened Alchemy Awaken does contain some ingredients that could potentially cause some side effects.

Uridine can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Although Tyrosine is generally tolerated in very high doses, it can cause some side effects including nausea, headache, fatigue, heartburn, and joint pain.

Choline appears to be well-tolerated in general, but could cause side effects in rare cases (or if taken in high doses) such as sweating, a fishy body odour, gastrointestinal distress, diarrhoea, and vomiting.

Large doses of ashwagandha can cause stomach upset, diarrhoea and vomiting. It can also change blood pressure levels. Side effects of Phosphatidylserine can include insomnia and stomach upset, particularly at doses over 300 mg. It can be made from either plant or animal sources, and so may not be suitable for vegetarians.

Because the product reviews are on the official website instead of an independent website, it is possible that negative reviews have been removed.

This product is amazing! I’m more focused throughout the day, remember my days more vividly, and most importantly, no longer have that 2:30 feeling. I even find myself being super productive into the night. Being productive is key to success and this product helps you do just that.

Writing after using a full bottle, 2 capsules each morning with coffee/MCT Oil & Cream. I experience each day a calm clear mental energy that makes my first 5-7 hours intensely productive! This is an essential supplement, foundational!

Does Awakened Alchemy Awaken Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

The manufacturers of Awakened Alchemy Awaken do appear to offer a money-back guarantee, which they describe as lasting for 60 days from the date of purchase and being “hassle-free” and “unconditional”. However, there are several caveats and loopholes that mean that some people may not qualify for returns.

They do state that this money-back guarantee only applies to your first purchase of the supplement. For returns of bulk purchases, unopened bottles need to be returned to the company and only one bottle can have been opened. They also imply that customers need to have taken the product for 30 days, taking four capsules a day; it is unclear whether this is just a recommendation, or if it is a part of the terms and conditions that need to be fulfilled before a refund is given. More information can be found on the official Awakened Alchemy website.
