Brain Awake claims to increase energy and mental performance. It certainly has a variety of natural ingredients, but even those ingredients can cause side effects when not used properly. We have reviewed the product in detail to help you make up your mind. Here are our findings:
Brain Awake is a dietary supplement by a well-known manufacturer. They have already introduced a number of products in the same category, but they believe that Brain Awake is one of their best offerings due to its ingredient profile and the inclusion of medium-chain triglyceride oil, which improves digestion and offers other benefits too. However, it relies heavily on caffeine to provide you with some energy, but since caffeine works as a stimulant, it can cause a number of side effects. You may not want to use it if you already have sleep problems.
Brain Awake contains natural ingredients, and the manufacturer claims that it does not produce any side effects, but at the same time, they have mentioned on the official site that the product is not safe for pregnant women. Moreover, it contains caffeine that can keep you awake all night, especially if you already have trouble sleeping. Some customer reviews suggest that it may also cause stomach distress and other gastrointestinal problems. Check out our “Side Effects” section for more details.
Brain Awake is available in a bottle form with 60 liquid gels per bottle. You will have to pay $27.99 for each bottle. It is quite expensive considering that a bottle will last you for 20 days only.
Brain Awake by Irwin Naturals makes big claims, but unfortunately, it fails to make any considerable difference to your mental health. Considering the customer reviews, it would not be wrong to suggest that the presence of natural ingredients is not enough to make an effective formula. The use of many ingredients like Holy Basil, Carnitine, and Lemon Balm Extract may lead to an upset stomach. It also contains caffeine, which is a stimulant and can put your system into overdrive. The price is on the higher side, especially when you can find many of these ingredients in your regular diet and other supplements with scientifically proven formula at much lower price. Overall, there is no reason you should be putting your money on Brain Awake – it is expensive, does not fulfil all its promises, and causes several side effects. Rejected!

Advertised as a powerful brain supplement, Brain Awake is one of many nootropic supplements from Irwin Naturals. It claims to improve mental performance and boost overall health using natural ingredients. On paper, Brain Awake is supposed to perform well, and that is mainly because of its ingredient profile, but it seems that they have not paid attention to their formula because the blend seems to be quite ineffective for most people. Unfortunately, from price to features to guarantees, there is nothing impressive about Brain Awake.
Many of its claimed benefits come from MCT oil that is included in Brain Awake. However, there is not enough scientific evidence that these medium-chain triglycerides, which are supposedly obtained from coconut oil, are actually beneficial for your brain health. In fact, these MCTs are not considered safe during pregnancy. Moreover, there is no information about the process used to obtain these medium-chain triglycerides, which is another reason why you may not want to buy Brain Awake just because it contains MCT oil.
What has affected your energy level or brainpower is important to consider, as this helps select the best supplement without experiencing any side effects. For instance, if you feel tired and have difficulty concentrating because you have diabetes, you may not want to use Brain Power because it contains MCTs, which lead to a buildup of ketones in the body and diabetics cannot process them well.
The product contains BioPerine to help your body absorb different nutrients more efficiently, but there is no scientific research confirming the proposed benefits of BioPerine complex. However, a research conducted on mice showed that BioPerine might interfere with reproductive fertility. While there is no research on humans, it is still a good idea to stay away from it to avoid dealing with problems like birth defects and infertility.
Each bottle of Brain Awake contains 60 liquid gels, a 20-day supply. It means you have to take 3 liquid gels every day. You need to take each liquid gel at meal times with a glass of water.
Similarly, carnitine is supposed to improve brain health, but its long-term use is associated with problems like nausea, psychosis, high blood pressure, and difficulty breathing. Moreover, you should not take it if you already have any digestive problems, diabetes, hypertension, or liver disease. Your digestive issues may become worse when taking Brain Power, not just because it contains carnitine but also because it has Bacopa extract, which increases secretions in the intestines and stomach and puts you at an increased risk of developing ulcers, gastrointestinal blockages, and urinary tract obstruction.
The use of holy basil extract is another question mark. Yes, it may help reduce stress, but it is something a dietary supplement can do without, especially considering its potential side effects. We always believe that it is better to use something like Rhodiola rosea in place of holy basil to produce some adaptogenic effects. Holy basil contains eugenol, and an overdose of this oil can produce symptoms like blood in the urine, shallow breathing, nausea, throat burns, dizziness, seizures, racing heartbeat, and coma. It is definitely not something we would want in a brain-boosting supplement.
Another thing that bothers us a lot about Brain Awake is the presence of too much of caffeine. It works as a stimulant and may increase brain activity; however, you would need more and more caffeine to achieve similar effects. Your brain gets used to its effects, so you crave for more. An overdose of caffeine can cause several side effects, including insomnia restlessness, stomach discomfort, and more.
Overall, we do not recommend brain awake to our readers. It does produce some effects in the beginning but after some time it really becomes useless. We even noticed several pills exploding in the container after a few weeks and there was some bad smell as well. The price is quite high, especially considering the fact that you can get similar ingredients in many other supplements at a lower price. You might want to give it a try but you should resist the temptation because there is no guarantee that it will work for you, and if it doesn’t there is no way to get your money back. Our recommendation would be to look for another supplement with scientifically proven formula and a money back guarantee to ensure you get some good results and do not lose your money in the process.
Brain Awake claims to help you in so many ways. The manufacturer claims that the product has all the ingredients to help maximise your thinking power. Here are some of the ‘claimed’ benefits of Brain Awake:
Brain Awake has an impressive ingredient profile, but it does not have a scientifically proven formula. Nevertheless, the presence of so many natural ingredients is bound to produce some results, but whatever little benefits you get come at the expense of several side effects. It seems that they have gone overboard with the idea of using caffeine, which stimulates your system and causes side effects in the long-run. Customer reviews show that the product does not work for everyone, and even if it works, it causes common side effects like abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and more. The unavailability of a money-back guarantee means you will be stuck with it if it does not work for you. So, be sensible and look for a scientifically proven alternative!
Brain Awake contains a number of ingredients; however, most of the ingredients, such as vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folate, beeswax, flaxseed oil, and caffeine are easily available in many other dietary supplements with a much affordable price tag. Here are some other ingredients you can find in Brain Awake.
Many people have complained about experiencing abdominal discomfort and other gastrointestinal problems after taking Brain Awake. This may be because it includes ingredients like carnitine, Holy Basil, and Lemon Balm Extract. Carnitine overdose may lead to problems like headaches, stomach pain, psychosis, and high blood pressure. It is worth mentioning that one of the side effects of carnitine is sleeping difficulty.
Considering the fact that Brain Awake also includes caffeine, which is a stimulant, there is a high likelihood of making your sleep disorders worse after taking the supplement.
The manufacturer has built its marketing campaign on the fact that Brain Power contains MCTs, but they have not mentioned the side effects of using supplements with these triglycerides. The liver has to process these MCTs and people with any underlying liver condition may develop cirrhosis. You may also develop allergy symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, hives, and swelling of your lips or face.
If you already have any digestive problem, it is better to avoid Brain Awake. Not only can it cause several gastrointestinal problems, it can also lead to stomach ulcers. That is mainly because it contains Bacopa extract, which might increase secretions in your intestines and stomach. It can also lead to problems like gastrointestinal tract blockage and urinary tract obstruction.
Caution:
This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Do not use if you may become pregnant, are pregnant or nursing. Do not exceed recommended daily intake. Not intended for use by persons under 18. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place.
While Brain Awake claims to be a highly effective product, it is hard to find many customer reviews. Most people do not find it effective in the long-run.
It is complete garbage, would not recommend to anyone.
These seem to work but taking all 3 leaves me sick to my stomach even with drinking a full bottle of water.
It did not work for me whatsoever. Will try something else.
You cannot find any mention of a guarantee on their official website, which makes you believe that there isn’t any available at all. They do not offer any free trials either.
You can buy it directly from their official website or you can order it from third-party retailers, including Amazon.

Actually your wrong. It works great! I only take 2 a day. I looked up the reviews before I bought it, mostly 5 stars. It cost me around $18.00.
Just read the full comment, “These seem to work but taking all 3 leaves me sick to my stomach even with drinking a full bottle of water,” on Amazon. You left of the part where they said that 2 pills worked great. Also, most of the reviews were 5 stars. The bad reviews were mostly due to the capsules leaking during shipping. I just bought a bottle at Walmart for less than $17 and they are Prime eligible on Amazon at $11. So I’ll see how they work I guess, but I can’t take your review seriously. You should do more research and not tamper with reviews to make them fit your agenda.
