We dislike the auto-ship program and pricing that the sellers of Excelerol have set up on their official website. Autoship programs are often difficult to cancel, and are easy to forget about, and so often customers can find themselves with unwanted supplements and unable to obtain a refund.
The money back guarantee offered by the manufacturers of Excelerol is only valid for the first 90 days after the initial order, and so after this initial 90 day period, customers who forget about the autoship program will be unable to get a refund on unwanted products.
The product could also potentially cause a range of side effects.
Customers who want to purchase Excelerol should ensure that they purchase from third party retailers and avoid the official product website. The product is expensive, even for a nootropic supplement, especially when considering the high daily dose that is recommended by the manufacturer.
If a consumer takes the recommended daily dose of six capsules per day, a packet of 90 capsules will only last for 15 days. This pushes the long term cost of the supplement even further.
Overall, we find Excelerol to be excessively expensive, and although it may be a somewhat effective nootropic supplement, we cannot recommend it to our readers.

Excelerol is a nootropic supplement that, according to the manufacturers, is designed to support focus, memory, concentration and alertness.
The product is manufactured by a company called Accelerated Intelligence, who are based in California in the USA. Customers who want to contact the company can find their contact details on the official Excelerol website.
Take 2 capsules up to 3 times a day or as by a health professional.
Excelerol and its benefits are described as follows on the GNC website:
By maintaining a proper diet, exercising regularly and supplementing with high potency ingredients as those found in EXCELEROL®; you may dramatically increase your chances of success.
This product has been specifically formulated to support focus, memory, concentration and alertness.
Because almost none of the individual ingredient quantities used in Excelerol are provided, it is impossible to accurately establish the strength of the nootropic. This means that the likelihood of developing side effects is unknown, as well as the actual effectiveness of the product. However, many of the ingredients have interesting preliminary support suggesting that they could aid various aspects of cognitive function.
Bacopa Monnieri needs to be taken daily for an effect to build up over time, but some of the other ingredients could cause a general improvement in energy levels and mental clarity shortly after taking the supplement. Their effectiveness in practice, of course, still depends on the dose used.
Bacopa Monnieri reduces anxiety and improves memory, and tyrosine could help to reduce fatigue. A-GPC appears to improve cognition.
Vinpocetine could both help to improve mental energy and memory, but the clinical evidence is generally inadequate, as the trials that have been conducted are extremely limited, biased and outdated.
Overall, the customer feedback from reviews is very positive, with only a small number of negative customer reviews. One negative review actually described the product as too strong, and so customers may want to start by using a small dose before working their way up to the recommended six capsules per day.
It appears that Excelerol does provide a noticeable boost to mental clarity and focus. The ingredients list also supports this, as there are several ingredients that should benefit different aspects of cognitive function. Bacopa Monnieri needs to be used continuously for several weeks for the effects to build up, but many of the other ingredients will have a more immediate effect, with noticeable effects within an hour or two of consumption.
The ingredients are a range of nootropics that may help to improve memory, reduce fatigue, increase energy levels (both physically and mentally), and act as a general cognitive enhancer. However, the amount of clinical support behind each ingredient varies hugely; some have clear evidence from human trials, whilst others have only been researched in rats, with the results extrapolated to humans.
The ingredients used in Excelerol are listed below. The product contains a proprietary formula and so not all of the individual ingredient quantities are listed. Quantities that are listed are per serving of two capsules, and consumers can take up to six capsules per day.
There are numerous ingredients used in Excelerol that could cause a range of side effects. As no individual ingredient quantities are provided, it is very difficult to establish the actual strength of the product and therefore the likelihood of side effects being caused by any particular ingredient.
There are several ingredients used in Excelerol that are sources of naturally occurring caffeine, including guarana, kola nut, green tea, white tea and black tea. Significant quantities of caffeine can cause side effects such as headaches, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations and problems sleeping. Excelerol should not be consumed in the evening before bed as the caffeine content could interrupt sleeping patterns, as noted in some customer reviews. Green tea can also cause constipation.
DMAE can cause constipation, itching, headache, drowsiness, insomnia, excitation, vivid dreams, confusion, depression, increased blood pressure, an increase in schizophrenia symptoms, and unwanted movements of the face and mouth.
Studies have shown that Bacopa leaf causes upset stomachs in participants much more than placebos. This has led to the recommendation that this ingredient be taken with a meal, rather than on an empty stomach, as this will minimise the chances of getting an upset stomach. It may also may cause nausea, cramping, bloating, and diarrhoea.
Although Tyrosine is tolerated generally in very high doses, it can cause some side effects including nausea, headache, fatigue, heartburn, and joint pain.
A-GPC can cause side effects in some people including heartburn, headache, insomnia, dizziness, skin rash, and confusion.
Citicoline can cause side effects such as headache, diarrhoea, low or high blood pressure, nausea, blurred vision, chest pains and sleep disturbances.
Side effects of Phosphatidylserine can include insomnia and stomach upset, particularly at doses over 300 mg. It can be made from either plant or animal sources, and so may not be suitable for vegetarians.
Vinpocetine can cause some side effects including stomach pain, nausea, sleep disturbances, headache, dizziness, nervousness, and flushing of the face.
Huperzine A can cause some side effects such as nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, sweating, blurred vision, slurred speech, restlessness, loss of appetite, contraction and twitching of muscle fibres, cramping, increased saliva and urine, inability to control urination, high blood pressure, and slowed heart rate.
Caution:
Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Not suitable for anyone under the age of 18. Not suitable for anyone who is taking any medications, whether prescription or over the counter. If you are unsure about the suitability of this nootropic supplement, or any other supplement, consult your doctor before purchase.
There are numerous customer reviews on the GNC website, one of the third party retailers who sells this product.
Total waste of money! This product is so bad, it made me feel miserable and also my stomach was upset for a week. It doesn’t work AT ALL.
Can’t sleep when I take them at night. These work extremely well but unfortunately when I take them in the night I am unable to sleep during the night. I would like to say that I’m not knocking them because they are effective but I don’t think that it would be wise to just take these during the night if they take to your body quickly.
These work!
I can’t tell you how many of these supplements that I’ve tried in the past! I have went from bottle to bottle of supplements but these are the only ones that work.
Pros: extremely potent and fresh
Cons: I would like a different flavor or liquid version
The product works well but is always sold out. I have came back here time and time again and it’s like one minute they are available for purchase but then they sell out so fast. If you get these please make sure to order multiple bottles. Otherwise you’ll find yourself out of luck.
This product is mega potent. I mean super potent. When I bought them I thought that they wouldn’t work. Boy was I wrong. The focus is insane. I felt like I had the eye of a sparrow and it didn’t let up easily. Definitely don’t take these at night.
I have been taking these for a few week but noticed a difference within the first few days. I have always had a problem with focus and concentration. I eat healthy so it had me concerned. Since there was nothing else I could do I decided to order these and am happy I did. I told my doctor about my success and he was very excited about it.
I use this daily when i go to work it keep me motivated and focus. I work in a call center and I am able to come up with quick responses when customers get mad at me. And I have stamina through out the day. Best part is when i get home I still have energy to work out and stay fit. I recommend this product to all my friends and family.
This stuff is truly amazing! I take it when I feel overly tired and it gives me a very nice energy boost. It is very fast acting (almost immediately) and lasts for about 6 hours. If you are like me and feel tired and drained some of the time… I highly recommend this product. I also recommend this to those of you who need to be more alert (i.e. when you are driving at night, if you have to take a test/exam).
