Haleo Mindset Overview

What You Need To Know About Haleo Mindset

Haleo Mindset is a nootropic supplement designed to improve focus and productivity. The manufacturers claim that it is stimulant free, but it contains Theobromine, a mild stimulant. The product has now been discontinued, but still has limited availability through some third party online retailers.

What Are The Side Effects Of Haleo Mindset?

There are several ingredients found in Haleo Mindset that could cause a range of side effects. Customers are directed to take the product on an empty stomach, but research shows that one of the active ingredients, Bacopa Monnieri, is much more likely to cause stomach upset and digestive complaints when taken on an empty stomach. More information about the side effects that could be caused by taking this supplement is available below under the Side Effects tab.

How Much Does Haleo Mindset Cost?

Haleo Mindset can no longer be purchased from the official Haleo website, and appears to have been discontinued. At the time of writing, the product was available from Predator Nutrition, where a single bottle cost £38.99 plus delivery charges.

The product was also being sold at Elite Nutrition, but they were having a closing down sale, and it is unclear how long their website will still be active for. Here, a bottle of Haleo Mindset cost $24.99, reduced from $54.95. Delivery charges may also apply.

Each bottle contains 120 capsules, which will provide a 30 day supply of Haleo Mindset, if taken as directed.

Our Verdict On Haleo Mindset

We are not very impressed by Haleo Mindset. Whilst it seems to offer some nootropic benefits, there are plenty of issues with the product. Haleo, the manufacturers of the supplement, appear to be out of business, and their website is no longer active. The main website still stocking Haleo Mindset, Predator Nutrition, state that their stock is dated August 2017; it is not made clear whether this is the date of production or the expiry date.

The product is not covered by a money-back guarantee, and the returns policy offered by Predator Nutrition (the main remaining stockist) is incredibly poor.

Haleo is advertised as an alternative to stimulant-based supplements, but it does contain Theobromine, which is a mild stimulant. Whilst it is not as strong as caffeine, it could still affect sleep patterns, and suggesting that this supplement is an alternative to stimulant-based supplements is misleading to potential customers.

Overall, we do not recommend Haleo Mindset to our readers.

Does Haleo Mindset Work?

Haleo Mindset contains several ingredients that could benefit various elements of cognition. Alpha GPC could both improve cognition and help combat cognitive decline. Tyrosine and Carnitine could help boost energy levels naturally, and could help to combat the negative cognitive effects of fatigue. Bacopa, when taken regularly in the long term, may help to improve memory and reduce anxiety.

Ginkgo helps to improve circulation, which in theory could mean improved oxygen to the brain. Its nootropic benefits are based upon speculation only. Theobromine is a mild stimulant and might increase energy levels.

What Are The Ingredients of Haleo Mindset?

The ingredients found in Haleo Mindset are detailed below. The ingredient quantities provided are per daily serving of four capsules.

  • Thiamin (B1) 1.5mg (100% DV)
  • Niacin (B3): 20mg (100% DV)
  • Pantothenic Acid (B5) 6mg (60% DV)
  • Folic Acid (B9): 20mcg (50% DV)
  • Vitamin B12: 250mcg (4,167% DV)
  • L-Tyrosine 1000mg: An amino acid that is a building block of protein, this ingredient is found naturally in many foods including meat and dairy products. In existing trials, L-Tyrosine appears to effectively improve cognition and memory during stressful periods. Source
  • N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine HC 1000mg: An amino acid that is used to treat fatigue, and may help to boost energy levels. It is typically supplemented in doses of several grams per day. There is some evidence that supplementation of acetyl-l-carnitine can reduce body fat, although the strongest results were seen in the elderly. Source
  • Bacopa Monnieri 300mg: Used to reduce anxiety, improve memory, and seems to have a minor ability to treat depression, making it a general mild mood booster. The effects can take time to achieve a noticeable level, as the effects appear to accumulate with repeated use. Source
  • Alphasize 300mg: A branded form of Alpha-GPC. In Europe alpha-GPC is a prescription medication for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, but in the USA it is a prescription free dietary supplement. It appears to have some cognitive-boosting properties, helps to prevent cognitive decline, and may also enhance power output in athletes. Source
  • Ginkgo Biloba 120mg Standardized Extract Containing Min. 24% Ginkgoflavonglycosides and 6% Terpene Lactones): Appears to improve circulation, and may help to kill bacteria in the body that could cause infections, although it is used as an herbal remedy to treat a range of ailments. Source
  • Wild Blueberry Extract 50mg
  • Theobromine 50mg: Theobromine is a mild stimulant that is similar to caffeine, but it appears to be much milder than caffeine. Source
  • L-Theanine 50mg: This amino acid is found in green tea, and may increase feelings of relaxation. It may also reduce the negative side effects of caffeine, although there is seemingly no clinical evidence to support this claim. Source

Does Haleo Mindset Have Any Side Effects?

There are several ingredients found in Haleo Mindset that could cause a range of side effects.

L-Carnitine can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, heartburn, diarrhoea, and seizures. It can also cause the urine, breath, and sweat to have a “fishy” odour.

Theobromine is a mild stimulant that is similar to caffeine. Side effects could include headaches, jitteriness, increased blood pressure, insomnia, and dizziness. Theanine is thought to counteract some of the negative effects of stimulants (primarily caffeine), but consumers should still be careful about using this supplement too late in the day, as it could affect sleep patterns.

A-GPC can cause side effects in some people including heartburn, headache, insomnia, dizziness, skin rash, and confusion.

Studies have shown that Bacopa leaf causes upset stomachs in participants much more than placebos. This has led to the recommendation that this ingredient is taken with a meal, rather than on an empty stomach, as this will minimize the chances of getting an upset stomach. It could also cause nausea, cramping, bloating, and diarrhoea.

Caution:
Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Not suitable for anyone under the age of 18. Use cautiously in patients with history of seizure, based on reports of seizure due to Ginkgo seed ingestion. If you are unsure about the suitability of this supplement for you, consult your doctor before purchase.

We struggled to locate many customer reviews for Haleo Mindset, especially as the product appears to have been discontinued and so has limited availability.

A+ Wish it wasn’t discontinued.

Im a full time student, and have had trouble with concentration in the past. Reading pages after pages aint easy for me. Ive taken Alcar for a while, which I do like and recommend.

Today, I finished the bottle of Mindset and felt the urge to share my experience.

The first day I popped 4 pills of mindset (daily dose), I was pleased with what I felt. After an hour or so , the first thing that I noticed was increased calmness. I just felt good. One of the ingredients is Bacopa monnieri, which I have taken solo and while I felt some calmness/relaxation with that solo, but the effects were magnified on Mindset.

For me Mindset takes about 2 hours to work its magic. The main things that this products delivers for me, is increased calmness and increased concentration.

to describe it in details, Prior to Mindset I used a blank page or a ruler to block all text in a page except the line which Im reading, if I didnt do that I saw the text moving around and I was unable to lock my eyes on the text i was trying to read. After a few days, I ditched the ruler/blank page and was able to read like a normal person. Mindset gives me kinda tunnel vision which i really like.

After the bottle was half-full I added 1gr ALCAR around 4 hours after my dose of Mindset, when im studying for extended periods of time, which I feel like is extending the product effectiveness.

I give Mindset 2 thumbs up, 3 if I had an extra.
