What You Need To Know About Havasu Neuro Recharged

Havasu Neuro Recharged is a nootropic supplement that is “formulated to promote healthy circulation in the brain, provide immediate, clean energy, and boost focus and cognitive performance”. It comes in strawberry lemonade flavour, and is a powder that should be mixed with water.

This supplement is correctly marketed as a nootropic but oddly the manufacturers also recommend taking it as a pre-workout supplement; this is not a specialist pre-workout supplement, and customers who try to use it as such as likely to be disappointed.

What Are The Side Effects Of Havasu Neuro Recharged?

With Havasu Neuro Recharged having numerous active ingredients, there are lots of potential side effects that could potentially develop whilst taking this supplement. The ingredient that appears to cause the most side effects is Niacin, as a single scoop contains 188% of the RDA for Niacin. Potential side effects of Niacin include flushing of the skin, upset stomach, and diarrhoea. Taking niacin with food can reduce the likelihood of stomach upset.

Studies have shown that Bacopa leaf causes upset stomachs in participants much more than placebos. This has led to the recommendation that this ingredient be taken with a meal, rather than on an empty stomach, as this will minimize the chances of getting an upset stomach. It may also may cause nausea, cramping, bloating, and diarrhoea.

Although Tyrosine is tolerated generally in very high doses, it can cause some side effects including nausea, headache, fatigue, heartburn, and joint pain.

Side effects of caffeine can include headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness, and insomnia.

Side effects that can be caused by DMAE include constipation, itching, headache, drowsiness, insomnia, excitation, vivid dreams, confusion, depression, increased blood pressure, an increase in schizophrenia symptoms, and unwanted movements of the face and mouth.

Ginkgo Biloba is generally thought to be safe, but may cause some minor issues; these include stomach upset, constipation, headache, dizziness, a pounding heartrate, and allergic skin reactions. It may also affect blood sugar levels, making in unsuitable for diabetics. It could also affect blood clotting, and so is not suitable for anyone with bleeding disorders.

How Much Does Havasu Neuro Recharged Cost?

Havasu Neuro Recharged can be purchased from the official Havasu Nutrition website, where a single tub costs $25.99. This price is advertised as a sale price, reduced from $39.99. Delivery is free to US customers. International shipping is not available.

Havasu Neuro Recharged can also be purchased from Amazon; here a single tub costs $21.75, plus delivery charges. There are discounts available for bulk purchases when you enter the correct code at checkout.

Each tub contains 30 servings, which will last between 15 and 30 days of use, depending upon the number of scoops taken daily.

Our Verdict On Havasu Neuro Recharged

We have a mixed opinion about Havasu Neuro Recharged. This supplement contains nootropic ingredients, and the benefits it offers according to the manufacturers are all related to cognition. However, they recommend using it as a pre-workout supplement, which we believe will leave some customers disappointed when it fails to stand up to other, more specialised pre-workout supplements.

Customers are generally impressed by the product (as a nootropic), but there are a significant number of people who experience flushing immediately after taking this supplement. This is a side effect caused by the high niacin content, and whilst some people are not too bothered by it, others find it to be an unpleasant experience. Some of the ingredients found in this supplement such as Bacopa are under-dosed, but the blend features numerous well-known nootropic ingredients that have lots of anecdotal support behind them.

Havasu Neuro Recharged is covered by a 60-day money-back guarantee. This applies to both purchases from the official website and from Amazon. The product is significantly cheaper to purchase from Amazon.

Overall, we do not recommend Havasu Neuro Recharged to our readers.

Does Havasu Neuro Recharged Work?

There are numerous nootropic ingredients found in Havasu Neuro Recharged that could have various nootropic benefits.

Bacopa Monnieri reduces anxiety and improves memory. It needs to be taken daily for an effect to build up over time, and is incredibly under-dosed in this supplement, with each serving containing just 50 mg of Bacopa (rather than the 300 mg recommended).

A-GPC appears to improve cognition, but again the recommended daily dosage is higher than that found in this supplement. Tyrosine could help to reduce fatigue.

Caffeine is technically not a nootropic ingredient, but it does temporarily boost alertness and energy levels.

Ginkgo Biloba could increase circulation, which theoretically could improve alertness by increasing blood flow to the brain.

Phosphatidylcholine and choline bitartrate supplementation could increase levels of acetylcholine in the brain, a neurotransmitter which is linked with improved learning, memory retention, and recall.

Overall, Havasu Neuro Recharged contains numerous ingredients that could benefit various elements of cognition, including alertness and memory, but some of the dosages used could be improved upon.

What Are The Ingredients of Havasu Neuro Recharged?

The ingredients found in Havasu Neuro Recharged are detailed below. The ingredient quantities provided are per serving of a single scoop (3g).

  • Niacin 30 mg (188% RDA): Vitamin B3, or Niacin, is responsible for helping to produce energy from consumed food, as well as helping keep the nervous and digestive systems healthy. Niacin can be easily sourced in adequate amounts from a balanced diet. Source
  • L-Tyrosine 500 mg: An amino acid that is a building block of protein, this ingredient is found naturally in many foods including meat and dairy products. In existing trials, L-Tyrosine appears to effectively improve cognition and memory during stressful periods. Source
  • Choline Bitartrate 500 mg: Choline supplementation appears to improve attention, and could improve memory. Choline is required to make increased levels of acetylcholine in the brain, a neurotransmitter which is linked with improved learning, memory retention, and recall. Source
  • Phosphatidylcholine 20% (from Sunflower lecithin (ALCOLE H 20)) 150 mg: This is a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is linked with improved learning, memory retention and recall. It is naturally occurring in the brain. Whilst supplementing Phosphatidylcholine could help to boost Acetylcholine levels in the brain in theory, the link between Phosphatidylcholine supplementation and improved cognition has not been studied in depth at all. Source
  • Natural Caffeine (from Green Tea Camellia Sinensis) (leaves) 100 mg: Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive. Source
  • L-Alpha-Glycerylphosphorylcholine 50% (Alpha GPC) 100 mg: In Europe alpha-GPC is a prescription medication for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, but in the USA it is a prescription free dietary supplement. It appears to have some cognitive-boosting properties, helps to prevent cognitive decline, and may also enhance power output in athletes. Source
  • Dimethylethanolamine DL-Bitartrate (DMAE) 100 mg: This ingredient is marketed as a memory and mood enhancer, as it is a major chemical component of choline. There is currently little clinical evidence to support the notion that it contributes to brain cognition to the same extent as choline itself. Source
  • Acetyl L-Carnitine Hydrochloride 100 mg: There is some evidence that supplementation of acetyl-l-carnitine can reduce body fat, although the strongest results were seen in the elderly. The ingredient also boosts energy levels, and is used to treat fatigue. Source
  • Ginkgo Biloba Extract (leaves) 100 mg: Appears to improve circulation, and may help to kill bacteria in the body that could cause infections, although it is used as an herbal remedy to treat a range of ailments. Most studies have found that it reduces anxiety and boosts memory and brain function, although a couple of dissenting findings disagree. Source
  • Bacopa Extract (Bacopa Monnier L.) (leaf) 50 mg: Used to reduce anxiety, improve memory, and seems to have a minor ability to treat depression, making it a general mild mood booster. Its effects can take time to achieve a noticeable level, as the effects appear to accumulate with repeated use. Source

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Havasu Neuro Recharged?

There are over 350 customer reviews for Havasu Neuro Recharged on Amazon, where the product is sold. The product is incredibly highly rated, with an average rating of 4.5 stars out of five! A significant number of customers reported experiencing a niacin flush after taking the supplement, which appears to be the most common side effect. Some people disliked the taste of the product, with some people saying that it is too sweet.

No more afternoon crashes! This is good stuff! It gives me the energy and focus I need in the afternoons. It mixes perfectly in an 8oz bottle of water. The only thing I’d change is the sweetness of the drink. It’s a little too sweet for me but, I’m probably not a good judge since my normal go to drinks are water and unsweet tea.

Great product- I do feel myself much more focused with more energy- even a positive mood. I will continue to use. Only down fall is a do get a burning/tingle sensation in my body about 10 minutes after takin it.

The Neuro recharged taste great it blends easy. And for me doesn’t cause any burn out. A few things do concern me. The container isn’t safety sealed. I said it blends easy the only thing there are white specs that you can see in the powder and after you shake it in your water you can still see them. And last thing I know I only paid $5.00 since it’s an intro special. It’s only 3oz, most of the stuff I buy is 12oz or more. And range in price from 15 to 50 dollars.

One star. Nasty. Garbage made me shaky and overall anxious all day would recommend to nobody.

I’ve been taking this product on and off for about 2 months now. I’m not sure if I got a poorly mixed batch or something, but the effect varies wildly each time I take it. It usually works pretty well, but maybe the 4th or 5th time I took the recommended dose, about 10 minutes later I got the most severe niacin flush I ever had. I’m no stranger to niacin, as I regularly drink 5 Hour Energy shots and similar energy drinks. Had I not had any previous experience with niacin flush, this would have been quite scary. My skin began to tingle and painfully itch, and my face turned beat red for a good 15 minutes. I figured I may have taken too much. So for a while I was taking about half the recommended dosage and didn’t have this issue until today. Took a half dose and had the same niacin flush as I did the other time when I took twice as much. I would imagine this has something to do with how the powder has mixed and settled over time. It’s hard to tell what ingredient is what when looking at the powder, but there are some larger white clumps in it that aren’t evenly distributed with the rest of the ingredients. If this product was more finely ground and mixed more evenly I would give it a higher rating, however the effect is very unpredictable for me so I am slightly on the fence about continuing to use it.
