What You Need To Know About NootropX Memory And Focus

NootropX Memory and Focus uses a new and improved formula to increase your mental health. By providing with some popular nootropic ingredients, it claims to improve cognitive performance and increase concentration at the same time. It works better than other similar supplements though it does not contain any caffeine. It uses natural ingredients only to help you retain more information, learn faster, stay focused, and perform better as a whole. While it certainly makes big claims, the problem is that it shares no scientific evidence to support those claims. Also, you may not have any caffeine added to the blend, but there are stimulants included in the blend that can still cause several side effects.

What Are The Side Effects Of NootropX Memory And Focus?

NootropX Memory and Focus has a long list of ingredients, so it is likely that your body reacts to any of those ingredients. Some common side effects include nausea, vomiting, and gastrointestinal discomfort. Refer to our “Side Effects” section to learn more.

How Much Does NootropX Memory And Focus Cost?

NootropX Memory and Focus costs $37.95 for a bottle that contains 90 capsules made from plant cellulose. You can save some money by signing up for their auto-ship program.

Our Verdict On NootropX Memory And Focus

NootropX Memory and Focus is not going to help because it contains ineffective and under-dosed ingredients. L-Theanine is supposed to relax your mind and promote memory recall, but you do not get enough per serving. It really does nothing to increase serotonin levels. Panax ginseng promises better concentration, but you do not notice effects in the real world. Huperzine may offer some benefits, but you do not get enough of it either. Other ingredients are also under-dosed or highly ineffective.

Many of these ingredients are also available in other similar supplements at a much lower price. You can save some money by opting for their auto-ship program, but once you do, it becomes extremely difficult to opt out of it. Therefore, there is no reason why you should put your money on NootropX Memory and Focus.

Our verdict, we do not recommend NootropX Memory And Focus to our readers!

NootropX Memory And Focus Review

NootropX Memory and Focus contains a number of natural ingredients that are supposed to work synergistically to help you notice a quick boost in your mental health. It claims to relax your nerves and promotes better memory. It increases concentration and memory recall as well. Unfortunately, the lack of scientific evidence and not enough positive customer reviews are the reasons why we believe you should avoid NootropX Memory and Focus.

It contains L-theanine that is supposed to relax your mind and trigger the release of the feel-good hormone as well. The problem is that you will not find enough scientific evidence to support its use. Some studies have found that L-Theanine may be helpful in case you are dealing with light anxiety.

  • In a 2011 study, researchers sought to determine L-theanine’s effect on attention and reaction time. The study concluded that participants experienced better attention and reaction time, but that “no significant differences were noticed among subjects with a minimal anxiety propensity.

There is only 200mg of L-Theanine in NootropX Memory and Focus, which is another reason why it is going to prove ineffective. To increase serotonin levels, you need to take it in larger doses, which is not available in NootropX Memory and Focus.

There is also 120mg of ginkgo biloba in each serving of NootropX Memory and Focus. It is through that it prevents age-related memory loss, but you will not find enough scientific evidence to believe that. Most studies done to check its efficacy have found contradictory results. For instance:

  • As for prevention trials, a large, well-designed study of healthy people 75 and older in 2008 found no evidence that ginkgo helps prevent dementia, including Alzheimer’s. In 2009, a follow-up study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that the supplement did not slow cognitive decline or memory loss in any way.

There is also a common misconception that ginkgo biloba can treat Alzheimer’s disease, but that is not true.

  • In late 2012, a well-designed French study published in Lancet Neurology looked at 2,820 people aged 70 and older with self-reported memory complaints, half of whom took EGb761 (a standardized gingko extract used in many clinical trials and often prescribed in Germany and France) twice daily, half a placebo. After five years, ginkgo did not slow the rate of progression to Alzheimer’s.

NootropX Memory And Focus Facts

  • Natural ingredients
  • No caffeine

You will also find Panax ginseng in each serving, which is supposed to improve your mental health by working as a stimulant. Scientific studies conducted to check the efficacy of Panax ginseng are of low quality. Most of them have observed contradictory results. There is also no evidence that it is going to improve abstract thinking or increase reaction time. Moreover, you do not get a clinically tested dose in NootropX Memory and Focus. You should be taking up to 200mg a day, but you do not get more than 54mg per serving.

  • Cognition and social function, as well as mood, were increased more than placebo after 4 weeks of usage of Panax Ginseng at 200mg. These changes become insignificantly different from placebo at 8 weeks, suggesting attenuation of effects. Source

Another popular ingredient found in NootropX Memory and Focus is Huperzine A. Each serving contains 20mg of Huperzine that is supposed to work by inhibiting an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase. Regular use of Huperzine is supposed to increase concentration, focus, and memory. Unfortunately, it is yet another ingredient with false claims, as scientific studies do not support its use. Some studies have found positive results but most of them are limited because of their weak study design. For instance:

  • In a study involving a total of AD 454 patients, it was found that HupA might have some beneficial effects on improving cognitive function, global clinical status, and functional performance.

A Cochrane Review did not support these findings later:

  • The methodological quality of most included trials was not high and that only one study was of adequate quality and size. The authors conclude that further large randomized multi-centre trials are warranted.

Moreover, Huperzine is not found to treat Alzheimer’s disease either. For instance:

  • The Mayo Clinic states “The Alzheimer’s Association recommends that you not take huperzine A if you’re already taking a prescribed cholinesterase inhibitor, such as donepezil (Aricept), rivastigmine (Exelon) or galantamine (Razadyne). Taking both could increase your risk of serious side effects”

How to Take NootropX Memory And Focus

Recommended Usage:

  • As a dietary supplement, adults take two (2) to four (4) capsules daily with a meal, or as directed by a physician. It is recommended to start with no more than two (2) capsules per day to assess tolerance.

You will also find DMAE in each serving – there is 300mg of DMAE in NootropX Memory and Focus. It helps by increasing the levels of acetylcholine in the brain – it increases mental energy and protects memory. Due to these properties, many people think it may be beneficial for treating Alzheimer’s symptoms. That is not the case though.

  • In 1981 a study titled Double-blind trial of 2-dimethylaminoethanol in Alzheimer’s disease, noted no effects of DMAE in those with Alzheimer’s disease. This was a small study of only 27 people This study noted that DMAE resulted in more confusion, “retardation,” drowsiness and a mild increase in blood pressure.

Similarly, 600mg of alpha GPC is not going to make NootropX Memory and Focus any better. It is supposed to reduce age-related memory loss, but there is inefficient scientific data to confirm this claim. Whenever it helps, it only works for people suffering from chemically-induced amnesia. Keep in mind that some people just cannot tolerate alpha GPC and may experience serious effects – this usually happens when there is enough choline in your diet.

Another limitation is that alpha GPC does not work in smaller doses. For instance:

  • Supplementation of Alpha-GPC at 400mg thrice daily (1,200mg daily) for 180 days in persons with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease was able to improve symptoms. Source

It shows that you should be taking 1.2g a day, but NootropX Memory and Focus offers only 300mg a day.

NootropX Memory And Focus Concerns:

  • Under-dosed, ineffective ingredients
  • No scientific support
  • Not effective for memory problems
  • Possible side effects
  • Quite expensive

NootropX Memory and Focus also contains acetyl L-carnitine that is supposed to increase energy production by improving the absorption of nutrients. The problem is that it becomes quite ineffective when you are already following a balanced diet and getting enough amino acids from your diet. You may have to deal with problems like restlessness, stomach irritation, nausea, and fishy breath when taking acetyl-L-carnitine.

The bottom line is that you are not going to experience any benefit when taking NootropX Memory and Focus mainly because its ingredients are ineffective and under-dosed. Some ingredients have shown promising results in preliminary research, but you do not get clinically tested doses of those ingredients from NootropX Memory and Focus. The price of this supplement is also an issue, especially considering that other supplements do not cost as much and offer a good dose of certain ingredients. As a whole, NootropX Memory and Focus is no better than the nootropic supplement you may already be taking. Avoid it!

Does NootropX Memory And Focus Work?

NootropX Memory and Focus is not going to work because most of the ingredients lack scientific evidence. There is insufficient data to confirm the claims associated with acetyl-L-carnitine, L-Theanine, and ginkgo biloba. Panax ginseng may help a little, but its serving could have been better. You do not get enough of Huperzine A, bioperine, DMAE, and alpha GPC. Therefore, it is better to avoid wasting your money on this ineffective supplement!

Does NootropX Memory And Focus Have Any Side Effects?

NootropX Memory and Focus contains quite a few ingredients, so be prepared to deal with certain side effects when taking it for the first time. You are likely to develop gastrointestinal side effects along with blurred vision, restlessness, sweating, loss of appetite, increased urination, cramping, and high blood pressure because it contains Huperzine A. L-Theanine may also be the underlying cause of experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms.

Ginkgo biloba may also cause problems like dizziness, nausea, restlessness, and vomiting. There is a stimulant called panax ginseng that may be linked to the side effects such as increased heart rate, diarrhea, itching, loss of appetite, and low blood pressure. Ginseng may cause vaginal bleeding, mood changes, and menstrual problems in women.

Similarly, DMAE is also responsible for problems like headaches, itching, constipation, insomnia, depression, confusion, and increased blood pressure. It is due to these ingredients and side effects that you should avoid taking NootropX Memory and Focus when you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
