Reborn Labs Superior Brain

Reborn Labs Superior Brain is a nootropic supplement that the advertisers say will improve memory, focus, and mood. This sounds good, but there have been issues with the high level of positive customer feedback posted on Amazon. In addition, Superior Brain is exactly the same supplement as other products on the market sold under other names by other companies.

Reborn Labs is a US based company, that sells supplements via the official website and on Amazon USA.

What You Need To Know About Reborn Labs Superior Brain

Reborn Labs Superior Brain is exactly the same as many other supplements on the market. This is not a coincidence. It is because this branded formula comes from a contract supplements manufacturer called Avexyl Pharma, that develops supplements for companies to sell under their own labels. Superior Brain contains some reasonable looking ingredients, but as all are in unknown quantities, effects are going to be unpredictable and there could be side effects. Reborn Labs appear to have falsified positive feedback comments on Amazon, making this supplement company look less than scrupulous.

What Are The Side Effects Of Reborn Labs Superior Brain?

Potential side effects may include; increased sun sensitivity, stomach upset, irritability, anxiety, diarrhoea, nausea, skin rash, allergic reaction, insomnia, dizziness, flushing, vivid dreams, constipation, increased blood pressure, twitching, increased bowel movements, and fatigue.

How Much Does Reborn Labs Superior Brain Cost?

Superior Brain is not overly expensive, especially when compared to the cost of the other clones of this supplement.

You can find Superior Brain on the Reborn labs website where it costs $19.99 for a bottle of 60 capsules.

It is also on sale via Amazon but is currently unavailable.

Our Verdict On Reborn Labs Superior Brain

We are not impressed with Superior Brain. This clone supplement looks decidedly average, and although it contains some well known ingredients, we think it is highly unlikely to work in the way as described. It might have an effect upon some people of course, but it will largely come down to your own sensitivity to the ingredients. In addition, Gingko Biloba is known to take a few weeks before any effect is noticed, and this combined with the low serving size does not seem likely to do much for improving your memory or any other of the claims.

Although we have been quite harsh on Superior Brain, it is actually better than some of the identical clones still out there on the market. This is solely because at $19.99 it is much cheaper than the others, although we still believe it is a waste of money. That said, choosing Superior Brain over identical supplement Synapsyl for example, which costs nearly $70.00, will at least keep your waste of money to below $20.00.

Overall, we cannot recommend Superior Brain to our readers.

Reborn Labs Superior Brain Review

Superior Brain promises Advanced Brain Enhancement and of course we all want that, whether we are working, studying, or simply getting a bit older. However for a brain supplement, the advertising on the Reborn Labs website does not look very convincing.

The first thing you notice when landing on the site is a countdown to the end of a so called sale. The banners warn you that supplies are limited so you must buy fast, and overall it looks more like the advertising you get on a market stall or cut price store rather than a serious supplement looking to address brain health issues.

Reborn Labs Superior Brain Facts

  • Each bottle contains 60 capsules
  • Clone supplement identical to many others on the market
  • Contains Ginkgoxine, a gingko Biloba product
  • Manufactured by Avexyl Pharma under the Reborn Labs label

There are two components to the supplement. There is a branded Gingko Biloba supplement called Ginkgoxine here in the formula at 50mg per serving.

The rest of the supplement is made up of a proprietary blend at 727mg per serving, and this contains herbal ingredients including St John’s Wort, Bacopa Monnieri, and Vinponectin, combined with chemicals that reflect natural substances present in the body. These are the amino acids Glutamine and Acetyl Carnitine, plus Phosphatidylserine complex and Dimethylaminoethanol Bitartrate, more usually known as DMAE. Check out the ingredients tab to find out more.

How to Take Reborn Labs Superior Brain

Suggested use: As a dietary supplement, take one (1) capsules daily, or as directed by your health care professional. Do not exceed two (2) capsules per day.

As we looked through the ingredients list we started getting a déjà vu feeling. We have seen this exact same ingredients profile countless times before in many other nootropic supplements, including one called Synapsyl which is currently on sale for a whopping $64.95.

We covered Synapsyl in a previous Watchdog review.

Cloned supplements are not unusual. Supplement manufacturing is expensive, so sometimes a smaller company will just buy a readymade supplement and relabel it as their own.

We found that the maker of all these clone supplements is a contract manufacturing company called Avexyl Pharma, situated in Georgia USA.

Reborn Labs Superior Brain Concerns:

  • Will Reborn Labs really honour the guarantee as promised?
  • Although ingredient quantities may be low, this supplement could still cause side effects

According to the business information, Reborn Labs are a Californian company that are focused on helping people take control over their lives by achieving a healthy lifestyle. There is an address listed as 1039 Main St., Orange, CA 92867, which is a shared business address for multiple companies mainly in the home cleaning sector.

Reborn Labs is obviously not home to any kind of real scientific laboratory, as is implied by the name.

What Does Reborn Labs Superior Brain Claim To Do?

The Reborn Labs company logo reads “Mother Nature Meets Science”. This sounds good, but of course it is important to remember that Reborn Labs is not really a laboratory as the name suggests.

The key features of the supplement as advertised on the official website are as follows,

  • 100% LIFETIME GUARANTEE, RISK-FREE. If you’re not happy at any time, we’ll refund your entire purchase. Just grab your bottle before we’re out of stock again!

There is a bit more explanation about the various ingredients on the Amazon ad such as this statement.

“IMPROVES FOCUS, MEMORY, and CLARITY & MOOD. Superior Brain contains a natural blend of brain boosters including Ginkgo Biloba, Acetyl L Carnitine, Bacopa, Vinpocetine & St John’s Wort. This effective formula helps to provide the nutrients your brain needs to operate at optimal levels.”

There is no evidence or explanation about how the supplement actually works. There are no details about how to claim the guarantee.

Does Reborn Labs Superior Brain Work?

We don’t think it will do much for most people and it does come with a risk of side effects. The proprietary blend contains ingredients that may help mental cognition, but with unknown quantities nothing is really certain.

Gingko Biloba is taken by many people as a supplement in its own right and it seems to improve memory, and may protect the neural cells against Alzheimer’s as well as other positive mental benefits. The down side here is that studies have used between 120mg and 240mg per day over a period of 4 to 6 weeks. With only 50mg per serving here, this promising clinical testing is not reflected.

The proprietary blend is hard to call because we do not know the individual ingredients quantities. St John’s Wort may help depression but it can cause side effects. Phosphatidylserine also seems effective. This natural chemical maintains the brain’s cell structure, and can help protect against age related mental decline. Tested serving size is 300mg a day, so again is there sufficient in this blend to be effective?

All of the ingredients contained in this supplement do come with a background of clinical testing, and all have yielded promising results. But without a full ingredients profile that provides full quantities, there is no guarantee that this supplement will work as described.

What Are The Ingredients of Reborn Labs Superior Brain?

Serving size is equal to one capsule.

  • Ginkgoxine™ (50 mg): This is a trademarked Gingko Biloba supplement that is made by Avexyl Pharma, the same manufacturing facility that produces the various clone supplements with this same ingredients profile. Ginkgoxine is only present in Avexyl Pharma supplements. Gingko Biloba was originally used in Chinese medicine, and is rich in natural antioxidants and plant chemicals. Serving size here is low compared to clinical testing.

Proprietary Formula (727 mg)

  • St. John’s Wort: St John’s Wort is a yellow flowered shrub that grows naturally in the UK, Europe, and the USA, and is often present in gardens although it does have an unpleasant smell. It is often taken for depression. Research has thrown up mixed results with some studies suggesting it works as well as non herbal anti depressants. In general, the studied dose has been 300mg a day. Worryingly it can cause a range of side effects. Source
  • Glutamine (L-Glutamine Hydrochloride): Glutamine is a “free amino acid” meaning that it is used by the body wherever needed. Like glucose, Glutamine is a source of fuel for the brain and is used to make glutamate, one of the main neurotransmitters. Increasing glutamate activity can improve memory. Serving size here is likely to be low as most advice is that between 500mg – 2000mg a day is optimum. Source
  • Phosphatidylserine Complex: Chemical that is manufactured in the body and an important part of your cell structure. Phosphatidylserine is taken in supplement form because it is believed to improve memory and thinking skills. Research has shown it may help dementia sufferers. Usual serving size seems to be around 300mg a day.
  • Bacopa Monnieri (20% Bacosides): Water hyssop plant extract which contains natural chemicals called Bacosides, which may help reduce anxiety and improve memory. It has an effect upon dopamine and serotonin systems, and it also may help the formation of neurons. Usual serving size is 300mg, and it can take up to 12 weeks for any effects to be noticed. Source
  • Dimethylaminoethanol Bitartrate: More commonly known as DMAE, this chemical is part of a series of reactions in the body that makes acetylcholine, the principle neurotransmitter in the brain which helps the cells communicate. When combined with vitamins it may improve exercise performance but it lacks evidence regarding the improvement of cognitive function.
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine: Often known as ALCAR, this amino acid helps the body produce and use energy, and there is evidence that it supports the neurons in the brain and improves the health of cells (mitochondria). It is known to have a stimulant effect but is not as effective as caffeine. Source
  • Vinpocetine: Similar to a chemical present in the Periwinkle flower, although manmade Vinponectin may help improve blood flow to the brain. A pilot study tested elderly and middle aged people over a 3 months period who took 15mg daily found significant improvements in blood circulation round the brain. More research is needed. Source

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Reborn Labs Superior Brain?

There are customer reviews on Amazon, but many customers have voiced concerns over the authenticity of the positive reviews.

Isn’t it interesting that so many people who were not verified customers logged on to on the same days to give this product 5 stars? Go figure…

We looked into this and found the same suspicious activity pattern. However, here and there between the unverified purchases we did find some genuine looking positive reviews such as this one,

Made me a bit dizzy fr the first week but it passed. I’m well versed in taking herbal supplements and for me this HAS made a difference in my focus and overall mental sharpness. At 38 I have been getting those mood swings and dang forgetfulness or fogginess that’s so common at this pre-meno age. This has lifted that fog… in my 2nd month of taking these….

Wow, this product is everything they advertise. I took it in the middle of the day, which is definitely the wrong time. Because I was focused on and active through the evening into the morning. I had to take something to help me sleep because this definitely worked.

One lady reported some serious side effects,

As a result of taking this supplement after only a few days, my daughter had severe skin burns around her neck and chest area. The burns were so bad that her skin was RAW in some places…like a whole layer of top skin had come off!! I had no idea why this was happening so I started to trace back what we had done differently.

Process of elimination let me back to this supplement. I went back to the bottle and read the fine print! The label reads “St. John’s Wort may contribute to photosensitivity resulting in skin irritation and redness in persons exposed to strong sunlight …
