What You Need To Know About Zhou Nutrition Calm Now

Many people believe that just because a supplement contains herbal ingredients it is safe. However this is not the case because herbal supplements can be very dangerous and unpredictable for some users. Zhou Nutrition Calm Now may actually work for some people. It does contain herbal ingredients that are supposed to reduce anxiety levels but the issue here is one of safety. Many customers have reported adverse effects including making anxiety even worse, panic attacks, bad dreams, and insomnia, so you do need to be aware of the risks before you decide to buy. It might work in some people, but there is a strong chance that it could make anxiety conditions worse.

What Are The Side Effects Of Zhou Nutrition Calm Now?

Many customers have reported side effects, including nausea and vomiting, hot flashes, jitters, stomach cramps, bad dreams, blurred vision, fatigue, gas, insomnia, increase heart rate, palpitations, pounding heart sensation, grogginess, heartburn, and allergic reactions.

Other side effects may include; changes to blood pressure levels, dizziness, dry mouth, diarrhoea, itchy skin, and redness.

How Much Does Zhou Nutrition Calm Now Cost?

Calm Now is not expensive. Buy from the official Zhou Nutrition website and it costs $12.04 for a bottle of 60 capsules (30 servings). Zhou Nutrition ship worldwide, and shipping charges are calculated at the point of sale.

You are encouraged to sign up to Subscribe and Save, an autoship program that sends you fresh supplies each month and charges your bank or credit card automatically. This option costs $19.99 and includes free shipping but despite the 5% discount, we do not advise you to try it. In our experience, these types of agreement can be hard to cancel.

Calm Now is also on sale via Amazon and Walmart, although at the time of writing it is out of stock on Amazon.

Our Verdict On Zhou Nutrition Calm Now

We quite like Calm Now because it may work for some people. Other good points include the full ingredients profile, the money-back guarantee, and the high level of good customer feedback. It is well priced too so if it does work, it does offer good value.

However, we do have some concerns. Many customers have reported side effects and with this cocktail of herbal ingredients this is not surprising. Most of the components lack any real evidence regarding safety and clinical proof, so results are going to be unpredictable. There is also an issue with all that good customer feedback on Amazon. Over 200 positive reviews were scrubbed by Amazon, who are currently trying to cut down on the practice of fraudulent feedback.

Overall, we do not recommend Zhou Nutrition Calm Now to our Approved list. It is just not good enough or safe enough for the Watchdog readers.

The other three ingredients come with ingredient quantities provided. These are herbal ingredients that are known as Adaptogen s-substances that cause feelings of well being, or as nootropics to increase alertness. How to Take Zhou Nutrition Calm Now

  • Suggested Use: Use only as directed. Take two (2) capsules with food and water once daily or as directed by your healthcare professional

Zhou Nutrition is a major supplements company that deals in many aspects of nutritional health. According to the label, the company is based in Utah, yet according to our research and Bloomberg business information, the company is based in Kansas City. The truth is that it probably operates in both places.

Zhou Nutrition Calm Now Concerns:

  • The side effects are the major concern
  • Amazon has been forced to remove dodgy feedback comments, possibly written by Zhou Nutrition themselves. This is not what we would expect from a reputable US company

We have covered Zhou Nutrition supplements before, including Zhou Nutrition Boost Elite, a supplement aimed at boosting testosterone levels, and Zhou Nutrition Neuro Peak, another nootropic supplement that is marketed to support memory and cognition.

What Does Zhou Nutrition Calm Now Claim To Do?

According to the advertising, Calm Now is a “soothing stress formula”

The two main features are as follows,

Calm Now was formulated with the modern busy person in mind. Whether you’ve got a fast-paced day ahead at home, the classroom, or the office, we’re here to help. In addition, Calm Now is described as having an “expertly crafted formula “that utilises a combination of “Eastern herbal tradition and modern research”

There is also a 60-day guarantee if you buy this supplement from the Zhou Nutrition website, Amazon, Walmart, or Jet.

Does Zhou Nutrition Calm Now Work?

We think it will probably work for some people. Many of the components in this supplement are taken to combat stress and anxiety, so it could be effective. However, when it comes to herbal ingredients effects can vary from person to person and these can sometimes include side effects.

Rhodiola Rosea and Ashwaganda are both herbal extracts that are known as Adaptogens, substances that make the user feel better generally. Ashwaganda, an Ayervardic or traditional Indian medicinal plant can help reduce anxiety levels when combined with breathing exercises, and there is some clinical evidence for this, although the way that it actually works is not yet understood.

Rhodiola Rosea does not come with any real medical evidence, but there is such a lot of anecdotal evidence that the claims for this plant extract cannot be ignored. Some clinical testing has shown that Rhodiola can reduce stress and anxiety levels, although scientists have yet to figure out how it actually works.

Bacopa is a plant derived substance, that clinical testing has suggested may reduce stress and improve memory function if taken on a regular basis.

The proprietary blend also looks convincing. Lemon balm, hops, passionflower, and hawthorn are sometimes used for achieving a calming effect, and are often consumed in teas. Combined with the other components of this supplement, should not make the user too sleepy.

  • Calm Now Botanical Blend (400mg): Composed of herbal extracts Hawthorn Powder, Lemon Balm Extract, Passionflower Extract, Hops. Hops are best known as an ingredient in beer, and as a sleep aid when taken in supplement form. Hops may help reduce anxiety. Passionflower and Lemon Balm are often drunk in tea because of their calming effects.
  • Ashwaganda powder (200mg): Sometimes known as Indian Ginseng, this root extract is well known in traditional Indian medicine where it is used for a variety of purposes, although there is yet to be any real scientific research to prove the effects. Despite this, scientists have not established just how it works but the anecdotal evidence is so strong, it seems there must be some truth in the claims. It is considered an Adaptogen, a substance that generally helps improve feelings of health and well being.
  • Bacopa Monnieri (200mg): Bacopa may help reduce anxiety and improve memory function. It has an effect upon dopamine and serotonin systems, and it also may help the formation of neurons. Usual serving size is 300mg and it can take up to 12 weeks for any effects to be noticed. Source

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Zhou Nutrition Calm Now?

Searching through the positive reviews many customers seem genuine and are satisfied with this supplement, so it is obviously working for some people.

Positive comments include,

Can’t live without it. I have terrible anxiety for which the doctor has not been able to control. I tried this as a last ditch effort. WOW. It has cut out the racing thoughts and head noise. Tried to go a couple of days without it just to see if it really did work. It does. I couldn’t wait to take it again. Results within about 30 minutes. I began to feel calm.

I’ve been using Calm Now for about a month and I must say that I really like it. I tend to be a little “high strung.” It runs in my family. This does help keep me a little more even keeled and calmer. I would recommend giving this product a try

Bought this for my husband who tends to get anxious dealing with customers at his job. This product has calmed him down extremely and he loves that it’s an herbal blend because he refuses to take prescription drugs which I’m happy for

Some customers have not experienced anything at all, such as this man,

Received my bottle of calm now, i took 2 capsules as soon as i got the bottle after 4 days i feel no. change with my anxiety, i still feel really anxious

Worryingly, Calm Now does cause a lot of side effects. Some users have found that this supplement has made their anxiety and panic attacks much worse. We added all the reported side effects from customers to our side effects tab.

I was so excited for this product because I personally struggle with anxiety. However this product not only heightened my anxiety but also made me feel angry. It was a waste of money.

The first night I took these I was fine the next night I was up until 4 in the am with anxiety and panic it was awful I will not be taking these again
